Westwood SEPAC Language Based Learning Difference Parent Group

Click Here To Join The Zoom

Please join us and meet other Westwood parents/caregivers who have students with Language Based Learning Differences. This is an opportunity to connect, ask questions, share resources and support each other. Whether you are just starting the process or have been supporting your LBLD student for awhile - we can help one another. Language Based Learning Differences can include:

  • Auditory Processing Disorder (APD), where students have difficulty understanding and processing differences between sounds in words;

  • Dyscalculia, where students have difficulty understanding arithmetic and mathematical calculations;

  • Dysgraphia, where students have difficulty writing or exercising other fine-motor skills; and

  • Dyslexia, where students have difficulty identifying speech sounds and learning how they relate to letters and words (decoding).

The purpose of this meeting is to connect with other Westwood parents/caregivers in an informal atmosphere, get to know one another and discuss how we can support each other in raising a child with unique educational needs.

All Westwood parents/caregivers are welcome including private and out of district placements. We ask that whatever is shared during a meeting is kept confidential and is not to be discussed outside of the group.

RSVP for the meeting via this google form The Zoom link will be emailed to you shortly before the meeting.
